Club Rental Information and Application/Agreement - Members Only
FACILITY RENTAL POLICIES
The Bar Harbor Yacht Club is a small member run club, each contributing to the upkeep and maintenance of the facility. For this reason use of the facility for other than regular club activities is welcome but regard for others is imperative in a rental situation. The cost of the rental covers the cost to run the event (i.e. pumping the holding tank).
Please adhere to the following rules:
- The rental agreement time frame is four hours; this is to include set-up and clean-up.
- Extended time frame requires special board approval and shall not exceed 24 hours.
- If equipment is rented for event renters must be present at drop off and pick up.
- All events with more than 6 people require a rental agreement.
- Rentals are at the discretion of the board.
- Rentals are for members only.
- Renters must follow the legal parameters of alcohol use.
- Renters are responsible for clean-up within a 24 hour period.
- BHYC members retain access to the head and galley during rentals.
- Parking at the Club is limited, and members have priority to access their boats. During rentals, please organize a shuttle for non-member guests from nearby parking lots (eg National Parks’ entrance between the Club and Hulls Cove) to leave parking space for members. The gravel parking lot after the Club House is reserved for members.
- Any damage done to the facility is the responsibility of the renter.
- A $60/hr. cleaning fee will be accessed if club is not left the same as it was found.
- Rentals are only allowed for members of the club.
- All renters must sign a rental agreement prior to use.
- All trash and recyclables must be removed from facility.
- You are welcome to use cooking and serving supplies in kitchen but they must be cleaned and returned to their proper place.
- You are responsible for your own paper products (excluding toilet paper).
Fee schedule:
Parties 25 to 50: $500
A 50% deposit is required to hold the date.
